Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

How we select, research, verify and maintain our software content.

How products are selected

We start from a genuine business need and shortlist tools that demonstrably fit it. A product appears in our directory because it serves a real use case for our readers — not because it offers an affiliate program.

Inclusion is never conditional on a commercial agreement. A product with no affiliate program is reviewed on the same editorial basis as one with an active program.

How comparisons are researched

Comparisons are built from publicly verifiable information: official product documentation, public pricing pages, and integration directories. We describe the pricing model and direct readers to the official site to confirm current figures rather than publishing a price we cannot verify.

Where we have first-hand experience, we say so. Where we rely on official documentation, we say so. We do not blur the line between testing and research.

How pricing is verified

We do not display prices, review scores or customer ratings we cannot verify from official sources. Where pricing is unverified or frequently changes, we describe the pricing model (per user, per contact, tiered) and link to the official site.

We record the last verification date for affiliate links and review the directory regularly. Outdated information is corrected or removed, not left to drift.

How affiliate relationships work

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If a reader signs up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to them. Affiliate relationships are recorded centrally and reviewed for accuracy.

Affiliate relationships never determine editorial rankings. A higher-commission product is not ranked above a better one. Our rankings follow the editorial criteria above, independently of how each product is monetised.

How recommendations are made

Recommendations describe which buyer each tool suits and the trade-offs to weigh. We do not declare a single "best" tool in the abstract; we explain which tool is best for which situation, and why.

We never fabricate customer experiences, editorial credentials, or hands-on testing. If we have not tested a product hands-on, we do not claim to have done so.

How content is updated

Content is reviewed regularly and updated when official information changes. Each guide and review carries an updated date. Significant changes are re-verified against official sources before publishing.

Readers can report outdated information at any time via our contact page, and we act on verified corrections promptly.
